Still Living, Loving & Laughing

I have very recently come to understand what wonderful therapists pets can be. Four days ago (Aug 30, 2010) we got a puppy who has turned out to be a fantastic companion. This has amazed me as he is only 5 months old but is good as gold. Doesn't make a sound and it took 1 day to completely potty train him. I would recommend this breed to anyone who wants a small dog. He is a Morkie, which is a cross between a Yorkshire Terrier (Yorkie) and a Maltese. Absolutely wonderful dog.
What has pleased me more than anything else is my wife has taken to him. She agreed to get him because she thought he would be great for me. Well, she no sooner picked him up she fell in love with him. He is now her dog after only 4 days. She does share him with me but he follows her around like a shadow. It is so cute to watch.
He has yet to make any sound at all, does not bark or whine. We are beginning to wonder if he has a voice box. (laughing)
Oct 26, 2010 Update: We are falling deeper in love with “Murphy” he has the sweetest personality and is very affectionate. We finally discovered he does have a voice. Actually a very deep and loud bark. We only hear it if Christine goes outside and leaves him inside, if he can see her he barks. It is so cute - yes, he is now a part of our family and a very welcome addition.
This breed does not shed and is hypoallergenic. Very loving and loyal. Great pet!
He is actually smaller than the pictures portray.
